BIOMERAKI – 2023, Second National level technical symposium was conducted on 18.03.2023. Dr. S. Ramasundaram, Scientist-E from National Institute of Ocean Technology, Chennai has presided over as chief guest. More than 150 participants from various colleges have participated in the technical and non-technical events.
BIOMERAKI – 2022, First National level technical symposium was conducted on 14.05.2022. Dr. R. Srinivasan, Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology, Chennai has presided over the function as chief guest. More than 350 participants from various colleges have participated in the events.

Workshop
One week Hands-on training on “Microbial Enzyme production” was conducted from 30th January to 3rd February 2023 for II year Biotechnology students in association with SimBioen Labs and Scientific services Pvt. Ltd., Chennai.
Industrial Visits
II year Biotechnology students has visited Madurantakam Co-op. Sugar Mills Ltd., Padalam on 16.03.2023 and learnt about the sugar production and effluent treatment techniques.
I year Biotechnology students has visited Modern Bakers Madras PVT LTD in Madhavaram, chennai on 08.12.2022 and learnt the various processes involved in Food production and preservation.
II year Biotechnology students has visited Pandian Tea Industries, Kotagiri on 22.04.2022 and learnt the tea processing and packaging techniques.
