REGULATIONS – 2013

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO)

PEO1 : Graduate will possess fundamental prerequisites in mathematical, scientific and engineering fields required to solve technical problems.

PEO2 : Graduates will possess proficiency in hardware languages and use of latest software tools so as to comprehend, analyse, design and create novel solutions for the real life problems.

PEO3 : Graduates will involve in professional and ethical environment, to build effective communication skills, multidisciplinary and teamwork skills and to relate engineering issues to broader social context.

PEO4 : Graduate will have the knowledge to adapt to the changing industrial needs and to become an entrepreneur to lead a successful professional career in lifelong learning.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (PO)

PO1 : Students will demonstrate knowledge of differential equations, integral equations, vector calculus, complex variables, matrix theory, probability theory and random process, chemistry, physics and basic electrical & electronics engineering.

PO2 : Students will demonstrate an ability to identify, formulate and solve electronics and communication engineering problems.

PO3 : Students will demonstrate an ability to design electronic and electrical circuits and conduct experiments with electrical, electronics and communication systems, analyse and interpret data.

PO4 : Students will demonstrate an ability to design digital and analog systems, Signal processing and VLSI design related projects.

PO5 : Students will demonstrate an ability to visualize and work on laboratory and multidisciplinary tasks.

PO6 : Students will demonstrate skills to use modern engineering tools, software and hardware to analyse problems.

PO7 : Students will demonstrate knowledge of professional and ethical responsibilities.

PO8 : Students will be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form in person and work effectively in a team.

PO9 : Students will show the understanding of impact of engineering solutions on the society and also will be aware of contemporary issues.

PO10 : Students will develop confidence and ability for life-long learning.

PO11 : Students will be able to participate and succeed in competitive examinations including GATE, GRE and UGC NET.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES (PSOS)

PSO1: To enhance the knowledge of Electronics and Communication in accordance to the recent development of Technology.

PSO2: To apply the understood concepts for real time applications and enhancement of their career.

PSO3: To adapt the research oriented learning to find the innovative solutions for various socio economic problems.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

PEO1: To enable graduates to pursue research, or have a successful career in academia or industries associated with Electronics and Communication Engineering, or as entrepreneurs.

PEO2: To provide students with strong foundational concepts and also advanced techniques and tools in order to enable them to build solutions or systems of varying complexity.

PEO3: To prepare students to critically analyze existing literature in an area of specialization and ethically develop innovative and research oriented methodologies to solve the problems identified.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES (PSOS)

  • To analyse, design and develop solutions by applying foundational concepts of electronics and communication engineering.
  • To apply design principles and best practices for developing quality products for scientific and business applications.
  • To adapt to emerging information and communication technologies (ICT) to innovate ideas and solutions to existing/novel problems.

REGULATIONS – 2021

PEO

PEO1 : To provide the students with a strong foundation in the required sciences in order to pursue studies in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

PEO2 : To gain adequate knowledge to become good professional in electronic and communication engineering associated industries, higher education and research.

PEO3 :To develop attitude in lifelong learning, applying and adapting new ideas and technologies as their field evolves..

PEO4 : To prepare students to critically analyze existing literature in an area of specialization and ethically develop innovative and research oriented methodologies to solve the problems identified

PEO5 : To inculcate in the students a professional and ethical attitude and an ability to visualize the engineering issues in a broader social context.

PSO-PROGRAM SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

PEO1 : Design, develop and analyze electronic systems through application of relevant electronics, mathematics and engineering principles

PEO2 :Design, develop and analyze communication systems through application of fundamentals from communication principles, signal processing, and RF System Design & Electromagnetics

PEO3 :Adapt to emerging electronics and communication technologies and develop innovative solutions for existing and newer problems.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES

Engineering Graduates will be able to:

PEO1 - Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

PEO2 - Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PEO3 - Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PEO4 - Conduct investigations of complex problems:Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

PEO5 - Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

PEO6 - The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

PEO7 - Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

PEO8 - Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

PEO9 - Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.

PEO10 - Communication: Communicate effectively on complex engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and receive clear instructions.

PEO11 - Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the engineering and management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member and leader in a team, to manage projects and in multidisciplinary environments.

PEO12 - Life-long learning:Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.
