Overview

The Department of biotechnology was Established in 2020, with the vision to raise the value based Bio-technocrats. Also to produce the Entrepreneurs who develop the activity for the betterment of the society. The Department was approved by AICTE.

Biotechnology combines genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, fermentation technology, bioprocess engineering, tissue culture technology, molecular biology Phyto Therapeutics, Plant / Animal Tissue Culture and Nano biotechnology and recombinant DNA technology.

Biotechnology has the following applications in the production of medical products, chemicals, food, drugs, blood products, artificial organs, and nutraceuticals. The fields of chemical engineering, energy, pollution control, environment protection and waste management.

Our students are well prepare the needs of the Industry and higher study in all over the world. The Mission of the Department is also to improve students with Academic Excellence, Professional Competence with to give the solutions to human problems in ethical manner.

The coursework is essentially framed to acquaint the students with recent advances in the field. Seminars, research projects, presentations, and industrial visits.

The department has highly qualified, friendly and very supportive faculty members and a focus on practical oriented teaching for the students.

The department has separate library with sufficient titles. The department has well equipped lab facility with sophisticated instruments as per the curriculum.

To produce higher caliber Biotechnologists to attain new heights in bioinformatics and bioprocess technology as per industrial needs and to provide leaders in the field of Biotechnology.

Mission

To provide adequate and scientific education in Biotechnology to the under graduate students and prepare them for innovative, creative, and successful careers in a global society. We aim towards emphasizing on interdisciplinary research merging science and technology and to shape biotechnological developments under an ethical vision.
