PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO)

PEO1 - Technical Expertise: To educate and guide the students in attaining sound technical skills and knowledge, which would conform to the needs of IT industry.

PEO2 - Personality Development: To mould the overall personality of the students by providing training and opportunities to enhance their communication skills, team management, co-ordination skills and leadership qualities.

PEO3 - Career Building: To guide and create awareness among the students to procure and march successfully in the field of Information and Communication Technology.

PEO4 - Social Responsibilities: To impart ethical values and create concern for the society and environment.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (PO)

PO 1. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering and technology in the areas of civil engineering.

PO 2. An ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.

PO 3. An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and sustainability.

PO 4. An ability to function on multidisciplinary teams and ability to identify, formulate, and solve civil engineering problems.

PO 5. An understanding of professional and ethical responsibility and an ability to communicate effectively.

PO 6. The broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context.

PO 7. Life-long learning: Recognize the need for, and have the preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change.

PO 8. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

PO 9. Recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in life-long learning, knowledge of contemporary issues, and an ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for civil engineering practice.
