Physics department of AIHT was established in the year 2000 by KalviVallalThiru. T Kalasalingam. All the faculties in the department are highly qualified as per Anna University norms. They teach Engineering chemistry and Environmental Science & Engineering for the first year students and various elective papers for the higher semester students of all the branches. Our Department produces very high percentage of results every year. The goal of the department is to prepare the students for careers in all engineering aspects and also carry out basic and applied research work.

The department will be a desirable place to study and work, with our community comprising the best and the brightest, because of inculcating a thirst for basic facts, logical reasons and upcoming promising research in the chemical sciences and set within the context of meeting important societal needs.

• Applying the experimental knowledge of fundamental chemistry to solve simple and complex engineering problems.
• Finding out solutions for the safety of the environment and inculcating high moral values.
• Empowering the students effectively to function as an individual and in a team as a leader and member and preparing the students for industrial environment.
