Language Lab at Anand Institute of Higher Technology is well equipped with 45 computers, one server and four air conditioners to set the right ambience for effective language learning. In addition, the use of Globerena Software along with headsets and microphones facilitates easy and effective learning of English language. The Globerena Software is designed to help the students gain both the oral and written proficiency in English. It helps them to learn the language at their own pace. It is flexible and does not necessarily require a teacher all the time. At the same time, the teacher provides assistance to the students individually and collectively.

Besides the use of language software Globerena and Hi-Class, there are other activities planned and carried out inside the laboratory to enhance communication skills. The activities include Oral Presentations, Group Discussions, Debates, Extempore Speech, Group Discussions, Mock Interviews, Role play, and Online Tests. Students work on a wide variety of activities like speaking practices, listening comprehension, Reading Comprehension, Resume Writing, Job application writing, and repeated drills in grammar exercises like Concord, arrangement of jumbled sentences, Spotting the errors etc… so that they are able to fare well when they appear for Competitive examinations. These activities inside the language laboratory help the students build a lot of confidence and self-esteem in them, and motivate them to use their language skills and interpersonal skills outside the classroom as well. Thus the Computer Assisted Language Laboratory fulfills the needs of the Engineering students and eventually helps them find their foothold in the corporate sector.
